Leonard Charles Fullerton shot dead on Dendara street in Toronto

Toronto: Police have identified the young man shot dead in the city’s northwest on Tuesday as 26 year-old Leonard Charles Fullerton.He was shot following an argument outside an apartment building on Denarda Street, near the corner of Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue West, police say.

Police say Fullerton and the shooting suspect were arguing when the suspect fired several shots at him that proved fatal.Fullerton reportedly died of a gunshot wound to his head in hospital.

Police continue to search for the shooting suspect, who witnesses say fled east on Denarda Street on foot before entering a small, silver, four-door car.

The suspect is described as a black male with a lighter complexion, six-feet tall with a thin build and wearing dark clothing.Police said the man is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call detectives at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).

In another incident, two people were shot on Falstaff Avenue, in the Jane Street-Highway 401 area.

One victim, a 20-year-old male, was shot several times in the torso in a stairwell at 40 Falstaff.The second victims was found by EMS responders across the street, at a community centre at 17 Falstaff.

Shortly after paramedics arrived, residents directed them to the community centre across the street where a 17-year-old boy was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

Both men were taken to hospital.
