Winnipeg: Police have arrested Justin Frederick Larche and charged him for murder of his brother Christopher Barry Larche, who was seriously assaulted at a River Heights home on Lindsay Street, over the long weekend and later died from his injuries.
The 25-year-old man was rushed to hospital in serious condition after a fight broke out at a family gathering on Lindsay Street.
Winnipeg police said the incident occurred at a residence in the 100 block of Lindsay at 2:10 a.m. Monday.Police say it was a family gathering at the home when a confrontation occurred.
Police say the victim suffered serious upper body injuries that proved fatal for him. The area has been cordoned off.
The man’s death is the city’s 24th homicide of the year. Police say both are brothers and they became involved in a verbal dispute. The altercation escalated at which time other family members attempted to intervene.The fight continued when the 22 year old armed himself with a knife and stabbed the 25 year old male.
