Ottawa: Two Ottawa men Anthony James Guertin,26, and Damien Faucher-Bouffard,23, are facing multiple charges in connection with a swarming that happened on Sept. 14 in Vanier.
Both have been charged with six offences including robbery, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats and possession of a firearm obtained by crime.
Police said a male was standing in front of a convenience store on Lavergne Street when two suspects left the store. One of the suspects, who was armed with a handgun, grabbed the victim.
The victim resisted and was assaulted, sustaining minor head injuries as a result.The suspects fled the scene with some property, but dropped it nearby. The suspects fled to a nearby residence where they were arrested without incident by responding patrol officers a short time later.
Guertin is additionally charged with two counts of Possession of a firearm while prohibited.
Faucher-Bouffard appears in court on September 24 while Guertin appears in court again on September 20.
