Vancouver: Police in North Vancouver is seeking public assistance to identify human remains that were located off of a gravel pathway.
Investigators have determined that this individual has not been reported missing and they are relying on friends, family and the public to come forward with any information that might help them.
It appears attempts were made to conceal the victim in this location and investigators continue to treat this as a homicide.
The victim is a smaller framed female ranging in height from 5’2” – 5’6”. Police believe she was in her mid twenties to early forties and had shoulder length, wavy, black hair.
Police say the victim sustained an injury to her middle back, months if not years before her death. Two of her vertebrae were broken and this particular injury may have required an emergency room visit or several days of bed rest followed by non-surgical care.It may have required a brace.
A photo of the jeans and shoes similar to what the victim was wearing at the time of her death has also been released.
