Police”  as per dictionary is  a constituted body of persons empowered by the state to enforce the law, protect property, and limit civil disorder. Their powers include the legitimized use of force and are responsible for maintaining law & order at large.  But infact a constituted body that was suppose to be at society’s disposal  is looked up by same society otherwise.

To elate and change perception, ace director Manmohan Singh is gearing up with “Ajj De Ranjhe”. “Ajj De Ranjhe”  is an upcoming Punjabi  light comedy movie based on police-public relationship. General public is scared of police & avoid them, It will bring Positive image of our Police system. According to Manmohan Singh , “Ajj De Ranjhe” aims at the makeover of the Police. The film depicts brighter side of cops which are for our own safety and security.

The social cause of drug abuse is also addressed, but in a manner that doesn’t affect the commercial viability of the film, “There are no sermons. We didn’t want to do anything that would make the movie look like a documentary. In the last few years, several films have highlighted various social concerns but when you look at the box-office collection of these films vis-à-vis love stories or youth-oriented plots, you realise what the audiences are looking for.”

“Ajj De Ranjhe’s  Cinematography, Story, Screenplay & Direction is by  S.Manmohan Singh. Film stars Gurpreet Ghuggi, Kimi Verma, Aman Dhaliwal, Gurleen Chopra, Deep Dhillon, Darshan Darvesh,  Rana Ranbir and more.  “Ajj De Ranjhe” is produced by Punjaab Movies International in association with Reliance Entertainment.

Film also has guest appearance by Hockey ace drag-flicker Sandeep Singh. Movie is under post production and expected to be released on Sep 6.
