New Delhi: Fashion designer Rohit Bal has lent his signature touch of lotus and peacock marks to a limited edition packaging of luxury scotch whisky brand Chivas.
Bal, known for blending contemporary styles with the traditional, has accentuated the essence of the brand Chivas Regal, which stands for generosity, brotherhood and luxury, through the pack.
“I have retained the main logo of the brand, and worked around the colour. I have added a gun metal feel to element and added some of my favourite elements to it. I have incorporated a lotus, which is a trademark Rohit Bal element, and I have some peacocks on it,” Bal, who is also the brand ambassador of Chivas, told IANS.
He says the packages exudes Indianness.
“I have used the National flower, the lotus, and the National bird, the peacock. So I have kept the Indian elements in the pack intact,” he added.
The Chivas Regal Rohit Bal Limited Edition, which is “elegant and fresh”, according to the designer, will be available at all premium outlets across the country, Middle East and Europe.
Bal says he is also in talks with the brand to create more collectibles for the customers.
With an experience of over two decades in the fashion industry, Bal is not just an apparel designer. He is among the few names to be associated with a range of brands and causes.
