Chandigarh: Australian citizen Surpreet Arora of Moga ,who got married just10 days back was among three dera Sacha Sauda premis killed in a road mishap. Surpreet’s  wife Shivalik Arora was observing a ‘Karwa Chauth’ fast for the long life of her husband but fate had something else in store for the couple.

Three people died including Surpreet Arora when the Chevrolet Tavera car , they were travelling in, collided head on with a heavy truck at Moga-Ludhiana National Highway near Ajitwal in Moga on Friday.

The deceased were identified as dera Sacha Sauda premi of Sirsa Lal Chand, 60, Surpreet Arora, 30, and Krishan Lal, 60 (all of Moga) who were coming back with other devotees from Haridwar.

Police is considering speed of SUV as a factor behind the fatal collision and the truck was also wrongly parked on the road.

Three persons, who were injured in the  mishap were rushed to hospital.

The police have registered a case against truck driver Satvir Singh of Jagraon under Sections 304, 337, 427 of Indian Panel Code.
