Girl raped, attempts suicide in Batala village

Batala: A teenage girl, who was allegedly raped by two youths, tried to commit suicide in Pandiro village today, police said.

The 15-year-old girl was admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital Amritsar, where her condition was stated as critical, they said.

On the complaint made by the victim’s father, police registered a case against two persons identified as Harjinder Singh and Mahni.
