Adam Carney of Ottawa charged for online child luring

Ottawa:Ottawa police have charged a 41-year-old man Adam Carney with child luring after an online ad solicited sex from minors.An Ottawa cop posing as a 14-year-old girl began an online chat with the accused and arranged to meet the man.On Oct. 12, police said, the man made arrangements to meet the officer at home for a sexual encounter.

Police then arrested the man for child luring and a search warrant was executed and police seized several computers, cellphones and other items.    Carney is charged with numerous counts of computer contact with a person under 16 years of age, five counts of computer contact with a person under 18 years of age for a sexual purpose, and one count of making sexually explicit material available to a child.

Police is further probing the matter.
