Edmonton: Police said several students at a school in St. Paul, Alta., received injuries after a mini-van crashed into a classroom.Police say the mini van went off the road and drove into the side of Racette Junior High Shool, said RCMP.
Some students have to be hospitalised and one of the student is said to seriously injured.The RCMP confirmed that one student was pinned under the van after it slammed through the wall of School.The student was later rushed to an Edmonton hospital via air ambulance.
Five people were reportedly taken to a local hospital immediately after the accident, but three have since been discharged.
St. Paul is about 215 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.
Police have taken the suspect into custody and a probe is on.Police is also probing speed or alocohol as being the reasons behind the crash.
RCMP have charged Richard Edward Benson with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
