Toronto: Toronto police say Everton Anthony Campbell is facing 10 charges after a fraud investigation

Police alleged that between August 2009 and August 2012, the accused owned and operated multiple businesses in Toronto, including Avision Car Rental, 205 Nantucket Boulevard, Unit 4;Creations Motors and Ace Auto Inc, 130 LePage Court, Unit 30 and the accused allegedly represented himself as a used car dealer and offered to sell vehicles to the public.

Police alleged ,after the accused obtained money from a buyer, the accused would avoid contact with the buyer and abscond with their money or produce a different vehicle for the buyer than what was agreed upon.

Police alleged in some cases, the buyer would realize the vehicle had significant safety and operability defects.

Everton Anthony Campbell, 39, of Toronto, has been charged with ten counts of fraud and other related charges.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court  on Monday.Police believe there may be more victims.
