Hamilton: Hamilton Police have charged a Stoney Creek man , Ronald Delong, with Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference.The Hamilton Police laid the charges against the 70 yr old man after investigating an alleged assault at a Stoney Creek neighbourhood park.
Police say on October 2nd, 2012, the Hamilton Police Service received a report of an alleged sexual offence involving a 70 yr. old man and a young girl.
The investigation was forwarded to the Child Abuse Branch for further investigation. Investigators worked with Hamilton Police Service Crime Analysis Co-coordinator and the Division Two Seniors Support Officer and after investigation are alleging that the accused, Ronald Delong, sexually assaulted the victim between July 1st, 2012 – August 31st, 2012. The alleged assaults occurred at Ferris Park on Lynwood Dr. in Stoney Creek.
Delong is known to frequent other parks in the area and there is a possibility that there may be further victims.
