Vancouver: Two suspects Joseph Ernest Archibald & Christina Marie Farstad have been charged with allegedly robbing a male at gun point in in the area of 7200 block McKay Ave in Burnaby, Vancouver .Both were expected to appear in provincial court today.
At approximately noon Sunday October 7th, two suspects allegedly robbed a male who was parking his car in the area of 7200 block McKay Ave in Burnaby. The suspects allegedly searched the victim and got away with personal belongings, cash and the car keys. The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle.
“The victim was able to assist police quickly. This led to Burnaby officers to locate the missing white vehicle in the area of Edmonds and 6th Street,” says Sergeant Gursharn Ranu, spokesperson for Burnaby RCMP.
Joseph Ernest Archibald aged 36 and Christina Marie Farstad aged 30, both residents of Vancouver have been charged with Robbery. Archibald has been additionally charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Farstad with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.
As police officers moved in, the suspects tried to escape and were involved in a motor vehicle incident which also involved a police cruiser and a second vehicle. No serious injuries were sustained, however the female suspect was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit.The male driver was stuck in his vehicle and was apprehended soon after. A hand gun was recovered from the vehicle.
