Mississauga: Investigators from the Special Victims Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a male wanted for a sexual assault , while posing as a cop.
The incident happened on August 27 when the female victim and her male companion were sitting in a parked vehicle at Erindale Park, located in the area of Dundas Street West and Mississauga Road.
An unknown male approached the vehicle and identified himself as a police officer. The male was not in uniform nor did he provide any identification. He ordered the male out of the vehicle and then got into the vehicle and proceeded to sexually assault the female.
The suspect then left in a vehicle described as silver, 4-door vehicle, similar to a Toyota Corolla or a Honda Civic.
The suspect is described as male, white, possibly light skinned, late 20’s to mid-30’s, 6’2” tall with a muscular build. He has short spiked hair, with a goatee and glasses.
Investigators are concerned that this party has identified himself as a police officer, and believe he may have committed similar offences in the past or may continue to victimize people in this manner.
