Montreal: Montreal police officers have shot and injured a 28-year-old man Sunday night in LaSalle outside of 661 44th Ave. on Sunday night.Police were responding to a call to a group home , after a man was reported missing, when the man reportedly charged at them while holding a knife.
The group home houses persons with mental difficulties.A man went missing and police were called.By time the time, the police arrived , the missing man also returned and he reportedly threatened the officers with a knife.Fearing for their life, the cops fired shots.Police fired shots that hit the man in the leg. He’s been hospitalised.
One of the two patrol officers initially on the scene was treated for nervous shock.The SQ has been placed in charge of the investigation.
