Mount Dennis shooting leaves one dead

Toronto:  A man said to be in his mid-20s has died after being shot during wee hours near a Mount Dennis apartment.He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and found bleeding on the ground near Denarda Street and Weston Road.

He was taken to a trauma centre where he died.Police are advising that people avoid the area as a probe is on and the area has been cordoned off.

Police were called to the Toronto Community Housing property at 30 Denarda St., known as Trimbee Court.

Police are going through video surveillance.

Toronto police are investigating and are seeking any witness to the incident.
