Shooting in 1600-block of east 5th Avenue in Vancouver, two injured

Vancouver: Two men are in hospital and Vancouver Police is probing after a suspected targeted shooting at an apartment building in the 1600-block of east 5th Avenue.

Police say two men in their 20s were found suffering from gunshot wounds, after they were called to the building.Police found one man on the sidewalk on East 5th Avenue and a second in the lobby of a nearby apartment building. Both appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims, Vancouver men in their 20′s, were rushed to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The shooter or shooters are still at large, and no suspect description was available.

Police are looking into a connection with gangs and drugs, but that is still unconfirmed. The area is cordoned off and investigators from the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Unit are on scene.   No arrests have been made and police have not identified any suspects.Police is asking for any witness to the incident.
