Regina: Three people are in custody facing charges of first-degree murder in relation to a double homicide on the Standing Buffalo First Nation.The victims were Jessica Redman, 27, and Sheldon Yuzicappi, 28, both from the Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation.
All of the people charged are also from the reserve, which is about 70 kilometres northeast of Regina.
The accused in the case are as Brittany Bear, 21, and Kody Bear, 22. The name of the 17-year-old male charged can not be reported because he is a youth.
A homicide probe had been launched after two people were found dead in a home near Fort Qu’Appelle on the Standing Buffalo First Nation in Saskatchewan. RCMP officers responded to the Standing Buffalo First Nation just before 5 a.m. after receiving a complaint of possible injured people.
On arriving cops found two people dead inside a residence. The RCMP had started a homicide investigation. Police feel there were two possible suspects linked to the deaths.
The Standing Buffalo First Nation is located about 70 kilometres northeast of Regina.
