Wayne Nicholson & Jessica Terry arrested with marijuana near Cannington

Toronto: Two people indentified as Wayne Nicholson & Jessica Terry are facing various drug-related charges after members of the DRPS Drug Enforcement Unit shut down a marijuana grow operation near Cannington.

The investigation began earlier this month and police executed a search warrant on Thursady at a Cannington residence. Officers located 558 marijuana plants growing both inside and outside, as well as growing equipment. A large quantity of dried marijuana was found in the residence. The street value of the drugs is estimated at approximately $765,000. Two persons were later arrested.

Wayne Nicholson, 39, and Jessica Terry,  22, both of Sideroad 18A in Cannington are charged with: Production of a Controlled Substance (marijuana) and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (marihuana). The accused were held for bail hearings.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Drug Enforcement Unit at ext. 5802. Anonymous information can be sent to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
