Toronto: Two people indentified as Wayne Nicholson & Jessica Terry are facing various drug-related charges after members of the DRPS Drug Enforcement Unit shut down a marijuana grow operation near Cannington.
The investigation began earlier this month and police executed a search warrant on Thursady at a Cannington residence. Officers located 558 marijuana plants growing both inside and outside, as well as growing equipment. A large quantity of dried marijuana was found in the residence. The street value of the drugs is estimated at approximately $765,000. Two persons were later arrested.
Wayne Nicholson, 39, and Jessica Terry, 22, both of Sideroad 18A in Cannington are charged with: Production of a Controlled Substance (marijuana) and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (marihuana). The accused were held for bail hearings.
