Toronto: Public Mobile has announced Canada’s first truly unlimited mobile music experience. At a press conference in downtown Toronto today, the company announced that it will launch its Siren Music service this Thursday, August 16th. No other carrier in Canada offers this combination of unlimited music and unlimited data – Millions of songs for one flat-rate price.
“Siren music lets you download all the songs you want and listen to them on your Android smartphone, anywhere, anytime,” said Alek Krstajic, CEO of Public Mobile. “Other carriers have per-track fees or limit your data usage. With Siren there are no per song or per album costs. It is a truly mobile service that allows you to download music on the go with no computers, no syncing and no extra devices required,” added Krstajic.
Siren features millions of songs from the major record labels, including new releases and the classics. The music is stored on your memory card which means it’s available for you to play anytime and anywhere – whether you are at home, on the subway, an airplane or out of town. And because the songs are downloaded onto your SD card they are available for instant playback, with no buffering, pausing or skipping.
Siren Music plans are available on all Public Mobile Android Smartphones and include unlimited talk, text, 3G data, Siren Music and more at the introductory prices of $40 and $47. Existing customers can download Siren onto their Android Smartphones directly from Google Play. Siren Music will be preloaded on future Public Mobile Android Smartphones. And even if you’re not a subscriber, you can browse the Siren store and see the artists it has to offer before you decide to purchase. Siren Music is powered by Livewire Mobile.(Marketwire)
